Great review! I to am a Gmail user and love it! I agree with everything you just said... well except for mutt b/c I never used it. ;)

I wanted to ask you Christian, what is it that you are using for you blog? Like what layout are you using? It looks so great. I would like something like that. Thanks for your time!

Miguel: I'm using MovableType, and the layout is a custom one I spent some time on. I'm glad you like it :) You can grab my CSS files and modify it, but if you use it, I'd appreciate adding a link to my site and indicating that I own the copyright. Thanks.

I use Fedora Core and was wondering how to get and install mutt -- it seems to have dependencies issue when I tried installing it last. Also, can you use Mutt with Gmail, since Gmail now allows POP access?

Thanks,

Yes - you can use mutt, getmail, and msmtp or a similar sendmail replacement (or sendmail itself) as a nice and secure way to send and recieve gmail under almost any *nix variant.

A nice setup if you would like to use GPG or other public key encryption tool and are always on the move. i.e. because many mail servers reject mail that has a different smtp server (than the From: line )in the header.
